The educational program's main objective is to promote social transformation, defense of democracy and human rights, sociocultural inclusion, civic engagement, gender equity and the advancement of women and girls to leverage female leadership. Pedagogical action and didactic transposition are based on the triad theory, research and practice. General and specific educational programs, projects, research and educational actions are designed to exemplify the Museum of Women's mission.
To this end, training courses, improvement workshops, continuous development of research on art, culture, history and education will be offered. The program expands access to virtual and hybrid actions for art audiences, women artists, scholars, researchers, educators and other interested people. To ensure broad access and dialogue, a special educational direction was created for vulnerable social segments, guided by the ideal of initial professional training, improvement and career development, with a focus on combating poverty, racism, lgbt+phobia, violence against women and girls of all ages, races and ethnicities. Such values of conduct are the pillars of the educational program and the reason for the existence of the educational at the Women's Museum, thus one of its acts of resistance.
It is noteworthy that all educational axes have specific programs for accessibility, inclusion and integration of special audiences - such as PwD, autistic people and mental disorders, among others - being attended by specialized professionals under a pedagogical program. Art and Protagonism
Nucleus for professional training, improvement and development of an artistic career. With learning, research, creation and protagonism goals, performing for women artists: courses, workshops, debates, lectures, conversation with artists, elaboration of art projects and guidance qualitative professional for the spotlight female financial in art system.
Within the scope of the production of knowledge and critical thinking, it encourages artistic and visual research, interdisciplinarity, the promotion of critical artistic creation, current readings on art history, women's art, decolonial art, artistic practices and innovative women's theories.
Education and Advancement
Nucleus that is divided into two lines of action: general and special. The line of action in the general category focuses on continuing education, qualification and scientific research aligned with art, culture, education and history. The program is focused on courses, workshops, seminars, meetings, activities, research groups and selected educational events. Teachers and professors, art students, researchers and researchers, artists and other professionals in the artistic field are our target audiences.
The line of action in the special category works to ensure the accessibility of diverse and vulnerable audiences to access to educational training actions. To achieve the museum's objective of advancing women and girls in situations of imposed poverty, the program will have educational actions, qualification projects with initial training, improvement, career development, skills and attitudes in social and professional areas that generate employment and income. - above all to combat violence against women.
Mediation and Knowledge
Nucleus that performs mediated visits with contemporary practices of mediation in virtual and in-person exhibitions. It brings the concept of knowledge production through the action of art mediators/es, in line with the sharing of knowledge and the exchange of knowledge about artists and works of art between mediation and the public. It is completed with the promotion of cultural educational visits for school groups, teachers, educators, organizations and institutions.
With the ideal of expanding knowledge through transdisciplinarity, we will welcome specialists from other fields of knowledge and culture for layers of readings of exhibitions, artists and works of art.
